Coffee Smoothies

 

If you look up the definition of a smoothie in the dictionary you’ll find multiple definitions including; a creamy beverage blended with milk or a person who performs with deftness.

We’ve all ran into a smoothie in your life, whether it’s the drink or a dude at the bar spewing cheesy lines.

While the smooth-talking smoothie is not always appetizing, the smoothie is one helluva drink – more so, when it is infused with our other favorite, coffee.

The thing with smoothies is that you can make them as healthy or as indulgent as you wish. Add berries, oatmeal, nuts (or nut butter), seeds, etc. when you are feeling especially virtuous or more indulgent ingredients like chocolate when you feel like it.

Our recipes give you the whole range depending on your mood. And we promise you that they are all delicious.

Even if you hate breakfast, you will love this meal in a glass. And, of course, the smoothies are perfect as an afternoon pick-me-up or a pre or post-workout drink

But first things first: our coffee is full of antioxidants, vitamins & minerals: hence you are definitely ahead on that count.

Two, our liquid, slow-extracted coffee is ideal for smoothies. You can never get the desired effect with brewed coffee or even espresso shots cooled and used in smoothies. Try us and taste the difference.

1.      Protein-packed Coffee Smoothie       

Ingredients:

1 or 2 Caffè di Artisan luxury coffee pods

1 cup almond milk

1 frozen banana

1/4 cup protein powder

2 tablespoons chia seeds

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder

Directions:

Blend all the ingredients until smooth. Sweeten with honey or maple syrup if needed. Pour into a serving glass.

2.      Peanut Butter Espresso Smoothie   

Ingredients:

1 frozen banana

1/2 cup milk

1 Caffè di Artisan coffee pod

3 tablespoons peanut butter Honey or maple syrup to taste

Directions:

Blend all the ingredients until smooth. Taste and adjust more honey or maple syrup and blend again. Pour into a serving glass.

Notes: To freeze the bananas, peel and cut into chunks.

3.      Banana Oatmeal Smoothie   

Ingredients:

1 frozen banana

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup ice

1 Caffè di Artisan coffee pod

2 tablespoons yogurt

Honey or maple syrup to taste

Directions:

Choose the Caffè di Artisan variants you would like for the smoothie.

Add a frozen banana, half a cup of milk, half a cup of ice, maple syrup, 2 tablespoons yogurt, and 1 Caffè di Artisan liquid luxury coffee pod

Tip: For best results, peel and cut banana into chunks before freezing

Blend all the ingredients until smooth. Taste for sweetness and add more maple syrup as required and blend again.

Tip: instead of maple syrup you can use sugar or homemade sugar syrup

Pour into a serving glass.

4.      Chocolate Chia Coffee Smoothie   

Ingredients:

1/2 cup almond milk

1 Caffè di Artisan coffee pod

1 frozen banana

2 tablespoons chia seeds

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

Honey or maple syrup to taste

Directions:

Blend all the ingredients until smooth. Taste and adjust more honey or maple syrup and blend again. Pour into a serving glass.

5.      Strawberry Banana Coffee Smoothie   

Ingredients:

2 Caffè di Artisan luxury coffee pods

1 cup cold milk

6 frozen strawberries

1 frozen banana

Directions:

Blend all the ingredients until frothy.

Sweeten with honey if needed. Pour into a serving glass.

6.      Spinach Kiwi Green Coffee Smoothie    

Ingredients:

1 or 2 Caffè di Artisan luxury coffee pods

1 cup milk

1/2 cup organic baby spinach

1/2 cup mango

1 ripe kiwi

1/4 cup rolled oats

Directions:

Blend all the ingredients until smooth.

Sweeten with honey, maple syrup, or few more pieces of mango if needed. Pour into a serving glass.

7.      Chocolate and Coffee Breakfast Smoothie with Yogurt      

Ingredients:

1 cup ice cubes

1 Caffè di Artisan coffee pod

1/2 cup water or milk

1/2 cup yogurt

2 tablespoons honey or to taste

3 tablespoons chocolate syrup

For Garnish:

Whipped cream

Chocolate sauce

Directions:

Blend all the ingredients until everything combines well and is slightly frothy.

Pour into a serving glass.

Add whipped cream and drizzle with chocolate sauce.

8.      Gingerbread Oatmeal Coffee Smoothie
